Alessandro Nesta retook the coaching spot of Italian Serie A side Monza, as the relegation battler announced his return on Monday.
Nesta was appointed Monza's head coach last summer, but the 2006 World Cup winner was soon fired after a 2-1 defeat to Juventus in late December and was replaced by Salvatore Bocchetti.
However, Bocchetti failed to right the ship as Monza only managed one win in seven fixtures under the former Italian international.
Monza extends a warm welcome to Nesta, but its relegation seems to be a foregone conclusion, as it sits rock bottom with only 13 points, eight points adrift of safety with 14 fixtures left.
