The National Aquatics Center in Beijing hosted a landmark signing ceremony on Feb. 20, where global technology company TCL and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) formalized a partnership establishing TCL as the worldwide Olympic and Paralympic partner for home audiovisual equipment and appliances through 2032.
IOC President Thomas Bach and TCL Founder and Chairman Li Dongsheng attended the ceremony, highlighting the growing influence of Chinese enterprises in Olympic events. TCL's addition to the Olympic partner program, known as TOP, brings China's representation to three positions among the 13 TOP partnerships, underscoring the nation's deepening engagement with the global sports industry.
The venue, which served as a key facility during the 2008 Olympics and 2022 Winter Games, continues to demonstrate its versatility as a premier destination for international events. The center has established itself as a multifunctional space accommodating water and ice sports, along with technology and cultural gatherings.
The National Aquatics Center maintains its Olympic legacy while adapting to serve as a dynamic events hub. This latest partnership reinforces the venue's position as a focal point for international cooperation and prestigious global events.
