Facundo Colidio scored late as River Plate edged to a 1-0 home victory over Atletico Tucuman in Argentina's Primera Division on Sunday.
The 25-year-old forward latched onto Franco Mastantuono's pass with a first-time effort from 30 yards that beat goalkeeper Tomas Durso at his near post 11 minutes from time.
River was forced to play the last five minutes with 10 men after Santiago Simon was shown a second yellow card for a bad tackle on Miguel Brizuela.
The result leaves River second in the 15-team Group B standings with 18 points from nine outings, 11 points ahead of 11th-placed Atletico Tucuman.
Elsewhere in Argentina's top-flight on Sunday, Tigre won 2-0 at Aldosivi, Defensa y Justicia prevailed 1-0 at home to Estudiantes, Belgrano held Newell's Old Boys to a goalless home draw and Godoy Cruz drew 1-1 at Instituto Cordoba.
