Uncapped forward Johan Carbonero has been called up to Colombia's squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Brazil and Paraguay, the Colombian Football Federation said on Monday.
The 25-year-old replaces Bournemouth attacker Luis Sinisterra, who was omitted from the 26-man squad after suffering an undisclosed injury in his team's 2-1 home defeat to Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday.
Carbonero has impressed since joining Brazil's Internacional on loan from Argentine side Racing in January.
Colombia will meet Brazil in Brasilia on Thursday and Paraguay in Barranquilla five days later.
Nestor Lorenzo's men are currently fourth in the 10-team South American zone standings with 19 points from 12 outings.
The top six sides will automatically qualify for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada while the seventh-ranked side will advance to an intercontinental playoff.
