Roma's talisman Paulo Dybala risks missing the remainder of the season as the Argentine is set to undergo surgery, the club confirmed on Tuesday.

Dybala picked up an injury just 12 minutes after coming off the bench in the Serie A clash against Cagliari last Sunday. La Joya subsequently withdrew from the national squad, which will face Uruguay and Brazil during the international break.
"Paulo Dybala will undergo surgery in the coming days following an injury to his left semitendinosus tendon. The player and the club have mutually agreed that this is the best course of action for an optimal recovery," the club said in a statement.
The Giallorossi did not disclose further details, but some Italian outlets suggested the 31-year-old will be out of action for at least two months, meaning Dybala is unlikely to return before the end of the season.
