Editor's Note: Women footballers on the women's football team of Tancheng No.1 Middle School, in Shandong Province, practice basic skills at the school's field.

The team, established in July 2009, consists purely of girls from rural areas. Most of the girls had never watched football matches or known about FIFA World Cup before entering this school.

In terms of how football entered their life, each one has an unforgettable memory that brought them to the sport. The girls, who possess unbending spirit, consider the players of China National Women's Football Team their role models.

The team has won the Shandong Middle School Football League for two consecutive years. The girls said their "championship dreams" are spurring them forward, and that they want to be China's national champions and even the world champions.
