Defending champions Guangdong continued their stunning
performance, becoming the mid-term champions after an awesome 16th
straight win.
In the 21st round of the CBA League, the visiting Guangdong
defeated Yunnan 106-82 Friday night.
Meanwhile, in Shanghai, the hosts outscored the visiting Bayi by
a disputable last-minute throw, 94-92.
In other matches, Beijing overpowered Jilin, 91-86, to top the
North Conference.
The clash between Dongguan and Fujian, both CBA debutants,
turned out to be a battle of scores.
Dongguan outscored Fujian, 130-120, thanks to their
international player Antony Miles, who contributed 61 points, a new
CBA record.
