China's Zhang Lin has won the men's 400m freestyle at the FINA
short-course world championships in Stockholm.
Zhang clocked 3 minutes 41.58 seconds to seize the crown.
In the men's 200m butterfly race, Chen Yanlong also swam into
the finals and finished sixth.
Another Chinese swimmer Wang Dong was eighth in the men's 50m
butterfly competition.
Chinese women swimmers also garnered three silver medals and one
bronze during the first-day competitions on Tuesday.
Chen Yanyan, a former synchronized swimmer, won silver in the
women's 50m and 200m backstroke races while Tan Miao also finished
second in the women's 800m free style.
Jiao Liuyang came out third in the women's 100m butterfly.
