Zheng Jie and Yan Zi have soared in WTA World Rankings after their Australian Open victory.

The Grand Slam doubles champions have jumped some 20 positions to reach 13th and 14th place respectively on the doubles ranking.

Yan Zi's singles ranking has also risen to 34th after breaking into the second round of the Australian Open.

Another Chinese player, Yuan Meng, who has also reached the second round in Melbourne, ranks 37th.

Athens Olympic champions Li Ting and Sun Tiantian are 38th and 39th in doubles rankings.
