China's female tennis player Zheng Jie continued her winning
streak at the Nasdaq-100 Open by defeating Germany's Anna-Lena
Groenefeld 6-4, 7-5.
Zheng Jie has advanced to the fourth round of the 6.9
million-dollar Nasdaq-100 Open in Miami.
Zheng, the newly crowned Australian Open doubles champion,
ousted Germany's Anna-Lena Groenefeld 6-4, 7-5.
She advanced to a round of 16 matchup with American Jill
Craybas, who eliminated Czech Klara Koukalova 6-1, 6-2.
Top seed Amelie Mauresmo and 4th-seeded Maria Sharapova also
booked their spots in the last 16 with a 2-0 win respectively.
In the men's draw, third seed David Nalbandian fought back to
defeat Czech Tomas Berdych 6-7 6-1 6-0 to reach the fourth
round.
