Chinese shooter Hu Binyuan has won the gold medal in the men's double trap event at the ISSF World Cup in Germany.

Despite a weak start with two missed targets at the beginning of the final, Hu prevailed to beat Olympic champion Richard Faulds to win the title.
　　
Following the victory, Hu booked a spot for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
　　
"Today I won the quota. Now I am one step closer to my dream to win the gold medal at the Olympics in Beijing," said Hu.
　　
Faulds from the UK finished second, followed by Russian veteran Vitaly Fokeev.
