Chinese star Zheng Jie has suffered a first-round exit after losing to Greek Eleni Daniilidou at the Ordina Open, a grasscourt tuneup for Wimbledon.

Zheng, who missed last week's Birmingham tournament due to injury, was defeated in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.

Daniilidou, the 2002 champion, plays top-seeded Russian Elena Dementieva next.

Another Chinese player, Li Na, ranked 30th in the world, will play Ukraine's Alona Bondarenko in the first round.
