Mercedes-Benz E-Class (67,409 units)
The E-Class is Mercedes-Benz’s midsize luxury sedan, coupe and convertible. The sedan was redesigned for 2010 and the E-Class Coupe was added, replacing the CLK Coupe in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. The 2010 E-Class represents the ninth generation of the model line, and more than 10 million E-class vehicles have been produced over more than 60 years. The E-Class sedan and coupe both offer V6 and V8 versions as well as the E350 BlueTec diesel sedan and the flagship E63 AMG sedan powered by a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 518 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.
The all-new 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class features the Attention Assist system, which can alert the driver to signs of drowsiness by monitoring steering movements. The E-Class Coupe is added, replacing the CLK. The E350 versions are powered by a 268-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine, and the E550 trims are powered by a 382-horsepower 5.5-liter V8 engine. The E350 BlueTec is powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 diesel engine that produces 210 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. The flagship E63 AMG features a 518-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 mated with a new 7-speed MCT sports transmission that replaces the torque converter with a startup clutch to provide the direct feedback of a manual transmission with the convenience of an automatic.
