Carlos Tévez, born in 1984, is an Argentine professional footballer who plays forward for English club Manchester City and is currently the team's captain. Tévez began his career in Boca Juniors at the age of sixteen, and transferred to Manchester City in 2009. As a member of the Argentina national team, he has made over 50 appearances for the country, and won the gold medal in the 2004 Olympic Games, scoring eight goals in six matches to be the top scorer of the competition.
