Jiang Nan, pen name of Yang Zhi, is a famous Chinese writer of alternate historical fiction, as well as science and fantasy. Born in 1977 in Hefei, Anhui Province, Yang received his master's degree in analytical chemistry at Washington University after graduating from Peking University.

Having embarked on writing in 1998, Yang made his name in 2002 with his online novel "When We Were Young." In April 2010, his most popular series, the "Dragan Raja," was published which set a record by selling 300,000 copies in 30 days. His works are celebrated for their intricate plots, vivid characters and inspiring themes. Currently, Yang is a writer and media manager engaged in the design and publication of three magazines.
