Arthur Ochs Sulzberger, Sr., born in 1926, was a famous publisher and businessman. Born into a prominent media and publishing family, he became publisher of "The New York Times" and chairman of the board of The New York Times Company in 1963. In 1992, his son Arthur Ochs Sulzberger, Jr. took over the office of publisher and became the company's chairman in 1997.
