   The Coppola family




The Coppola family represented a bench mark in the film industry. Francis Ford Coppola, born in 1939, is a reputable film director, producer and screenwriter. "The Godfather" (1972 and 1974), "The Great Gatsby" (1974) and "Apocalypse Now" (1979) brought him three Oscars and three Golden Globe Awards. His brother August Floyd Coppola was an academic, author and film executive and is the father of Nicolas Cage. The members of the Coppola family hold more than 20 important film awards.
