Natixis Global Asset Management, a specialist investment management company, released the third Global Retirement Index, based on an analysis of 20 key trends across four broad categories: health, material well-being, finances and quality of life. Together, these trends provide a measure of the life conditions and well-being that can be expected by retirees and near-retirees.
The countries that rank at the top of the list are mainly well-developed and growing industrialized economies with strong financial systems and regulations, broad access to healthcare, and substantial public investment in infrastructure and technology. They are as follows:
