# Aoligei 奥利给
The new term "aoligei" is generally used as encouragement, meaning "come on" or "you can do it!" It is the reverse of the characters in the phrase "geili'ao," which means "awesome" or "great job."
The term went viral after it was coined by an influencer on short video platform Kuaishou. In the video, a middle-aged man delivers an impassioned speech before ending with the phrase: "The best way to conquer fear is to face it head-on. Perseverance leads to victory. Come on, aoligei!" The video was soon parodied and imitated by many vloggers and internet users.
