#Global Civilization Initiative
China is committed to promoting the reform and building of the global governance system. Following the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative, China launched the Global Civilization Initiative (GCI) in 2023 to further explore and answer major global theoretical and practical questions. The GCI called for respecting the diversity of civilizations, advocating the common values of humanity, valuing the inheritance and innovation of civilizations, and strengthening international people-to-people exchanges and cooperation.
