In 1999, Lee was named by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century. Lee, considered by many as the most influential martial artist, has remained an enduring global pop culture icon.
His performance in the TV series "The Green Hornet" (1966-1967) set him on the road to fame. He was also well-known for his roles in the following five films: "The Big Boss" (1971), "Fist of Fury" (1972), "Way of the Dragon" (1972), "Enter the Dragon" (1973) and "The Game of Death" (1978). He promoted and revolutionized the development of martial arts and martial arts films worldwide.
Tragically, the 33-year-old Lee collapsed and died in July 1973 while making the film "Game of Death".
