A view of the Fountain Paint Pot, a mud pot located at Lower Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, US. It is named for the reds, yellows and browns of the mud in this area. The differing colors are derived from oxidation states of the iron in the mud. As the first national park in the world, Yellowstone National Park is well-known for its wildlife and many geothermal features. [Photo by Xu Lin / China.org.cn]
