The 9th National Ethnic Minority Games took place in Guiyang, the capital city of southern China’s Guizhou province from Sep. 10-18. The Games were the largest ever, with some 6,700 athletes from China’s various provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions representing the country’s 55 minority ethnic groups. The Games featured a total of 16 medal events, including archery, wrestling, martial arts and horse racing, as well as 168 demonstration events. [China.org.cn]
