Photo taken on Oct. 10, 2011 shows the view at the height of 2,900 meters of Mount Etna, on the east coast of southern Italy's Sicily Island. Mount Etna is the tallest active volcano in Europe, currently standing 3,329 metres high. The name Etna is said to have originated from a Phoenician word "attuna" meaning "furnace." Mount Etna is one of the most active volcanoes in the world and is in an almost constant state of activity. The fertile volcanic soils support extensive agriculture, with vineyards and orchards spread across the lower slopes of the mountain. [Xinhua/Wang Qingqin]
