Renowned as the most beautiful Danxia in China, the 400-square-kilometer Zhangye Danxia Landform is found mainly in Linze and Sunan counties in Zhangye City, Gansu Province, 40 kilometers away from the city proper. Danxia is a unique geological landscape featuring an array of colorful mountains, curvaceous cliffs and strange rocks formed from reddish sandstone eroded by wind and water over a very long period of time.
