Yematan: A wonderland in Qinghai

Yematan, also known as "Wild Horse Grassland," is located north of Wulan Country, Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai. It is a vast and lush wetland pasture hugged by magnificent mountains with crystal-clean streams flowing through the tranquil land. It was home to more than ten species of wild animals in the 1950s, most among them were wild horses – thus the name. Yematan is a wonderland far away from the hustle and bustle of cities, providing picturesque views of natural scenery in stunning colors set off by the blue sky, as well as amazingly broad highland pastures dotted by camels, yaks and sheep.
