On June 20, a Chinese tourist witnessed the "mystery dark circle" in Lake Baikal in Russia. According to a report on an US website on June 2, 2009, the "mystery dark circle" in Lake Baikal was firstly spotted and shot by astronauts from the International Space Station on April 2009. Experts presumed that this phenomenon could be connected with emissions of natural gas from Baikal's sedimentary strata.
