Tengchong is a well known young volcanic and geothermal area in China and is a National Geology Park. The Hot Sea is located 20 kilometers to the south of Tengchong County, Yunnan Province and its total area is about 9 square kilometers. The Hot Sea, which is in the heat center of the county's geothermal area, has the best scenery, highest water temperature and largest spring water amount in the county. It has become an ideal resort for sightseeing, holiday spending, recuperation and scientific investigation.
