A temple is framed by a stone arch gateway at Lou Shang Temple. On the highest point in the Shanxi area, Lou Shang Temple is the place to look down on the surrounding valleys and terraced mountains. A Ming Dynasty temple consists of several structures, some nervously balanced on the edge of towering cliffs. The mountain is located an hour south of the city of Linfen, Shanxi province. Photographer Daniel Possamai was stunned by his first visit. "it's probably one of the most beautiful place i've ever visited in my life," he said. "And it's definitely the most beautiful sunset. It's really amazing being here today." [Photo: CRIENGLISH.com/William Wang]
