The tenth China-Sanjiang Dong Minority Duo Ye Sessions concluded on Monday. Starting during the golden week, Sanjiang hosted a series of unique activities showcasing the Dong minority's cultural aspects. Many tourists, domestic and international, came to experience the vibrant, colorful event in Sanjiang, located at the connecting point north of Guangxi, Hunan and Guizhou;

The highlight of the event was the first "International Super Ox Championship." Oxen from Southeast Asia and various provinces around China were pitted against each other in an arena, locking horns until one ox submits. The bouts usually end with the winner chasing the loser around the competition area until it is reined in. The winning ox was dubbed as the "ox king."

After the competition, various European attendees took a group photo with the "ox king," saying that they loved experiencing the customs of San Jiang. One of the visitors said that, although this "bull fight" was quite different from that in Europe, it was still very interesting to watch.

Another notable performance during the event was the "Duo Ye," which means "dance with music" in the Dong language. It is a traditional ballad performance that also incorporates large-group dancing. At the event, the theme of the Duo Ye was "happiness, friendship, stability, unity."
