The Bund of Shanghai and its many buildings are one of the city's most important sites. The series of buildings, starting from the Waibaidu Bridge to the north and stretching as far as Jinling Dong Road to the south, totals a length of 1500 meters. Boasting a plethora of disparate entities, from opulent restaurants to staggering financial buildings, the area has garnered myriad titles, like the "exotic building clusters" and the "Far-West Wall Street." Most of the Bund's structures were built at different times in the city's history, the area has an interwoven harmony of color and style where old and new tie in together, as do East and West. There is a saying in the city that goes: "The story of Shanghai Bund is the story of Shanghai." [Photo: CRIENGLISH.com]
