Construction of the Airport City in Xixian New Area in Shaanxi Province is in full swing. Situated north of Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, the Airport City will cover 146 square kilometers. The project complies with the 4G airport city standards and will focus on several industries including air transportation, air logistics, LEDs, high-tech and high-end services. The construction started in 2011, and the airport city has a completed fixed asset investment of 17 billion yuan and aims to increase the figure to 200 billion yuan by 2020.
