Tourists visit the Gedan Songzanlin Monastery in Shangri-la County of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Yunnan Province, March 11, 2014. Since 2009, nearly 300 million yuan (about 48.82 million U.S. dollars) have been invested for the construction and maintenance of the monastery. Situated at the altitude of over 3,300 meters, Gedan Songzanlin Monastery is the largest Tibetan Buddhism monastery in Yunnan Province, and enjoys the reputation as "little Potala Palace", attracting millions of tourists from at home and abroad every year.
