The Beihai Wetland is located 10 kilometers to the north of the Tengchong county seat. Surrounded by mountains, its height is 1,731 meters above sea level. It is a subtropical lava barrier lake and the only lava barrier marsh in southwest China. Consisting of two natural lakes named Beihai and Qinghai, it is already 600,000 years old.[Photo/Xinhua]
