A black snub-nosed monkey (Rhinopithecus bieti) sits on a tree branch in the Baimang Mountain National Natural Reserve in the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Deqen in southwest China's Yunnan Province, Sept. 16, 2014. The population of black snub-nosed monkeys within the Baimang Mountain National Natural Reserve has expanded by about 50 as of September. In August 2013, a 5.1-magnitude earthquake in Deqen had exerted adverse effects to the habitats of black snub-nosed monkeys here. Their living environments have been restored under protective efforts that lasted for 12 months. (Xinhua/Chen Haining)
