A man walks through burning charcoal as he participates in the traditional ritual "Lianhuo", or "fire walking", in Pan'an county, East China’s Zhejiang province on Wednesday night, September 17, 2014. "Fire walking" is a traditional activity in the village, which has been listed in the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the province. Performers are barefoot on the charcoal fire and agitate the fire during the performance. Local people believe the ceremony can help them ward off evil spirits and bring in good luck.
