Niucheshui Chinatown in Singapore got its name because local residents used to clean streets with water delivered with ox carts.

Nowadays, modern malls and kinds of peddlers along with centuries-old markets stand along the streets. Important celebrating ceremonies will be held there on occasions of Chinese traditional festivals including Chinese New Year and Mid-autumn Festival.
