The northern gate of the Palace Museum is crammed with tourists on the second day of the Chinese National Day holidays in Beijing, capital of China, Oct. 2, 2014. Almost all scenic spots in Beijing were packed with tourists on the second day of the National Day holidays, which falls from Oct. 1 to Oct. 7. The 26 mainly monitored scenic spots of Beijing received 542,000 trips on Oct. 1, up 32.8 percent over the same day of last year. (Xinhua/Jin Liangkuai)
