Architectural concept of Chiyou Jiuli City in Pengshui, Chongqing.

Chongqing is building the country's biggest traditional Miao-style architecture complex in Pengshui, the municipality's only Miao autonomous county. Named after the ancestor and ancient tribe of the Miao ethnic group, the "Chiyou Jiuli City" scenic spot is expected to open to the public in mid October. Chiyou, a mythical warrior, is believed to be the ancestor of the Miao people and leader of the ancient Jiuli tribe. He is best known as the tyrant who fought against the Yellow Emperor during the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors era in Chinese mythology. (Photo/cqnews.net)
