People don't usually think of rainforests when thinking of China, but there is one in the southernmost province of Hainan –the Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone.
Only 35 kilometers north of Sanya, Yanoda complements Sanya's ocean-orientated tourism, offering a unique jungle experience which includes walking among tropical flora, climbing up waterfalls and even flying on a zip line through the forest.
"Yanoda" is originally a phonogram consisting of "Ya", "No" and "Da", which means "one, two, three" in the local Hainanese dialect. "Yanoda" is now also the word which every staff member greats visitors with in the national 5A tourism destination.
