4. Uluru
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Uluru is also known as Ayers Rock. It is a huge sandstone rock in the southern part of Northern Territory. It is the world’s largest monolith and Australia’s most iconic symbol of outback environment. It stands 348 metres high, has a total circumference of 9.4 kilometres and thought to extend 6 kilometres below the ground’s surface.(People's Daily Online / Ji He)
