Ganbao Tibetan village – an ancient military fortress

Ganbao is situated in Li County in Tibetan region of southwest China's Sichuan Province. "Ganbao" means "hillside village" in Tibetan. It is one of the largest Tibetan villages in Sichuan. It was an important military fortress in Qing Dynasty. Today, the historic remains such as military training grounds and podium can still be seen. (Photo/People's Daily Online)
