The Sailimu Lake is located in the Boertala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygurs Autonomous Region, northwest China. Encompassing an area of about 460 square kilometers, it is a fault basin at an elevation of 2,073 meters, the highest among the high mountain lakes in Xijjiang. The lake, with a maximum depth of 91 meters, is the first national wetland park in Xinjiang. It has entered into the peak tourist season.
