Many Thangka shops stand one by one on both sides of the circumambulation road of nearly 600 meters around the Jokhang Temple. The Thangka, or scroll painting, is an art form of Tibetan Buddhism.
Barkhor Street, a well-known tourist attraction in Tibet, welcomes crowds of visitors from all over the world every day, playing an important role in Lhasa's modern tourism development.
