The UNESCO World Heritage Site showcases several world-famous buildings and landmarks, including: the Kremlin, the seat of government power; the tomb of Vladimir Lenin; one of the world's most beautiful churches, Saint Basil's Cathedral; and the largest department store in Eastern Europe, GUM. However, Red Square's splendour extends further than the grandeur of the events and landmarks it hosts to the exotic cavalcade of humanity-the rich and the poor, the ordinary and the extraordinary-that ventures across its cobble-stoned streets 365 days of the year.
