600 year-old village for seacoast defense in Shandong

A shot of Xiongyasuo, a village once was used for seacoast defense in Shangdong province, July 12, 2016. It has a history of more than 600 years. It was used to resist Japanese pirates. Being built in a style of a small town in 1402, the village also has many large gates with their names inscribed on the top. The west gate still has its original look from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). (Photo/Xinhua)
