Photo taken on July 28, 2016 shows a lake developed from a mine pit in Changxing County, east China's Zhejiang Province. The mining industry used to be the pillar industry of Changxing, which is rich in mineral resources. In order to protect the ecological environment and promote economic transformation, the local government closed many mines and left many mines abandoned. Since 2012 an initiative to improve the ecological environment of these abandoned mines kicked off. Progress has been made by now. (Xinhua/Xu Yu)
