With the aims of attracting more citizens to participate into the winter sports, and preparing for the coming 2022 Winter Olympic Games and the 2020 World Leisure Congress, the 10th Pinggu Winter Sports Season kicked off in Yuyang International Ski Resort in Pinggu District, Beijing on Dec. 16.

Nearly 600 students from five schools in Pinggu District participated in the opening ceremony by showing off their skiing skills. A performing team led by famous skiing coach Sun Yue showed a splendid skiing performance.

During the four-month Pinggu Winter Sports Season, 17 activities and competitions will be held for different groups of participants interested in winter sports.
