The Kaiyangbao Village, located in Yangyuan County of Zhangjiakou City, northwest of Hebei Province, is a walled village with rich history which can be traced back to China's Warring States period (475-221 B.C.). The village is around 300 meters long and the original walls have been well preserved. Shaped with intersecting parallels, the village is divided into nine parts. There is only one gate at the south wall of the village. [China.org.cn]
