For some photographers, the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall, located in Luanping, Hebei Province, looks its best at sunset when the wall is bathed in the rosy evening glow. The section was built in the Ming Dynasty in the charge of famous general Qi Jiguang. Keeping the original appearance to a great extent, the once great defense work has now been dubbed a paradise for photographers. [China.org.cn/Photo by Guo Zhongxing and Zhang Aidong]
